Wing Wednesday hosts: Warrant Officer Sarah Cotman RAF

This past Wednesday, Royal Air Force Air Cadets and Staff from Wales & West Region joined Merseyside Wing for their Wing Wednesday guest speaker session, when they hosted the Command Warrant Officer for No. 22 Group of the Royal Air Force, Warrant Officer Sarah Cotman RAF, who is also an RAF Nurse by trade.
The session was hosted by Cadet Warrant Officer Ben Turnbull of 2375 Neston Sqn RAFAC, with Warrant Officer Cotman providing the audience with an insight into her career so far in the Royal Air Force, as well as discussing a number of her postings and experiences, so everyone could hear about how she had gone from her initial training, to the position she now holds.
The Cadets and Staff were then given the opportunity to ask Warrant Officer Cotman any questions they had. Some of these questions included, “What trade would you join if you were just joining the RAF?”, “What does ASTRA mean for the RAFAC?” and “Where do you see yourself in your next posting?”.
Cadet Warrant Officer Turnbull said after the presentation, “It was great to be able to host Cadets and Staff from across the Region for our Wing Wednesday session and I would like to thank Warrant Officer Cotman for giving up her time and giving us such an informative insight into her journey and current role.”
Merseyside Wing Air Cadets would also like to thank Warrant Officer Cotman for providing the members of our Wing and Region with this amazing presentation and for answering all of the questions posed by those attending. It was a fantastic evening.
