Merseyside Wing Cadets Have Talent

This weekend, viewers of Britain’s Got Talent: Unseen will have seen an amazing performance from the National Choir of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets at their audition held at the London Palladium earlier this year. The Choir led by Director of Music, Squadron Leader Dave Massam RAFAC, a former member of Merseyside Wing and including Cadets from Squadrons from across the North-West and the UK, performed highly energetic versions of several hits by Queen including “We Will Rock You”, “Radio Ga Ga” and “Fat Bottomed Girls” to the delight of the audience.

Although singing is not included as one of the core activities within the RAF Air Cadets, it has found a home there, helping Cadets to develop the skills that the organisation strives to embed in its members, including teamwork, communication, commitment, confidence, resilience and responsibility and has strived to do so since its inception in 2016, with this performance aimed at showing the people of the United Kingdom just what they as Air Cadets could do.

The audition met with a huge applause from the audience and with four Yes votes from the Judges and some very positive comments from across the panel, leaving all the Cadets feeling like they were indeed the “champions of the world”.
