Alongside these individuals who are to receive their awards, a personal message of thanks was sent out by Officer Commanding Merseyside Wing RAFAC to all cadets and staff members:
“Although the above individuals are being recognised and commended by their Lord-Lieutenant and Lieutenant Governor. I just want to say how thankful I am for every single Cadet and CFAV within the Wing. You are the backbone of what we do and without you, we would not be as successful as we are. You give your own personal time to help our young people, to be better in society and give them opportunities they would not normally be afforded. For that, you are all highly recognised and commended by me.”
