COVID 19

Update - January 4th 2021

Unfortunately due to the national lockdown brought in by the government, we will not be able to return as of yet. The initial lockdown is due to last until mid February. This includes all Parade Nights, activities and meetings, all current Air Cadet Activity is limited to Virtual and Online members of the RAFAC only.

Sadly this also means we are unable to recruit for Staff or Cadet positions, however if you are interested in joining us, please contact your local squadron to be added to the current waiting lists.

Please also be aware that WHQ staff are working from home and WHQ will not be staffed at RAF Woodvale until Restrictions are lifted.

When we have more news we will update you.

Sadly this also means we are unable to recruit for Staff or Cadet positions, however if you are interested in joining us, please contact your local squadron to be added to the current waiting lists.

Update - August 6th 2020

Some of you may already be aware of the announcement to return to face to face activities – we are all really excited by this and cannot wait to see all the Cadets back on Squadrons.
However I am sure you will understand the need for us to fully explore the impacts and policy that surrounds the return to face to face activities. Our top priority will and always has been the safety of our Cadets, therefore I am sure you will understand the need for a considered response to this good news.

We are looking to return to Cadet activities in the near future but will be allowing our Squadron Staff time to review the policy document, clean and prepare the Squadron buildings as required before any commencement of activities is authorised. Any announcement for opening of Squadrons and resumption of activities will be posted here once it is agreed to.

The image below is our 4 stage approach. We are currently drawing towards the end of stage 1 and have already commenced stage 2. Stage 2 will hopefully be completed in the next 2-3 weeks and then we can commence stage 4 with our CFAV’s.
